Website Terms

Using the website
These terms apply to TimberDecay.co.uk. The website provides general information about timber decay, moisture, fungi, insects and building repair. It is not a property survey, structural report, fungal laboratory identification, treatment specification or guarantee about a particular building.
Safety
Rotten structural timber can be unsafe. Floors, roofs and concealed voids can also contain electrical hazards, asbestos, mould, sharp fixings and unstable materials. Nothing on the website should be treated as an instruction to open up, climb into or disturb an unsafe area.
Historic buildings and protected species
Listed buildings, conservation areas and buildings containing bats or other protected species may require specialist advice or consent before work. Timber treatments, roof work and opening-up can have consequences beyond the timber itself.
Accuracy
Reasonable care is taken over the material, but building defects vary and new evidence may change a diagnosis. Technical sources are linked where appropriate. No promise is made that a general article will apply to every property.
External websites
Links to third-party organisations are provided for further information. TimberDecay.co.uk does not control their content, availability or privacy practices.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where the law does not permit exclusion. Subject to those limits, Prudent Plus Limited is not responsible for loss caused by treating general website material as a property-specific diagnosis or specification.
Copyright
Original text, design and code on TimberDecay.co.uk are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Reasonable personal reference is permitted. Substantial republication, automated copying that disrupts the service, or presenting the site's original material as your own is not permitted.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
